Dr Bob Drake - CHEM TEACHER

Welcome to my Web page, which will probably always be under construction!

I have been a chemistry teacher and chemistry professor for over forty years. I live in the Bronx, a borough of New York City.

In addition to chemistry and chemical education I enjoy Mac computing, digital photography and photograph manipulation, travel (every state in the U.S., the length of Canada from P.E.I to Vancouver Island, Australia, Britain, Wales and Scotland, Hong Kong and nearby China, northern Europe from Bruges, Belgium to Bergen, Norway, and Japan), Celtic and British folk music and folk-rock, and good fiction.

This summer, as for the past several summers, I camped under the pirate flag in the high pasture with singer-songwriter Jack Hardy, Stu Kabak, Gary Martin and other friends at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival in Hillsdale, New York. The week was a warm, wonderful time this year, as usual, despite the mud and water. Guests this year included Sandy Cash from Israel and A.J. Roach and Nels Andrews, now based in NYC.  If you meet A.J. and Nels, ask them how many catfish they tickled at Falcon Ridge, and whether they saw their shadow!

Please feel free to contact me by email or Google Voice (at no cost to you).
